    Default Beat Down

Had to review the german edition - awful movie, its a pain:

The young heroe - with fatherly induced anger management problems - gets beat down because he falls for the hotty of his enemy; who has anger fatherly induced managemnent problems too, which sadly force him to beat down anyone.

The Hottie isn't really a ***** but a superintelligent future Rocket Scientist and surprisingly falls for the heroe, who has found a Karate Kid Trainer - with fatherly induced anger manangement probelms too!!! - unbearable dense psychological drama... - that's just too much, so bad that ridiculing it is a lot funnier than actually watching it!

At the big Beatdown Tournament anyone get their ass kicked but our heroe learns that the bigger man sometimes hast to say NO to a fight; before he beats his opponent - who isn't really a bad guy, just loves the attention of kicking somenones ass, and rememeber: Problems with daddy - to a pulp.
The movie is just plain stupid. Someone clever in a marketing section wanted to make a sure thing:
It has soap drama from the O.C. (even the charakters are based on the tv series), it tries to pull in the Fast and Furious crowd and retells the Karate Kid story in spring break style. The fights are boring and fail to impress - even some good camerawork can't correct that,.

Because the movie aims at the teenie crowd, there is

    - No Sex, but bikini babes wherever you look - seems to be the shool uniform

    - No Gore or brutal Fight Scenes: the fights are tame, boring, music and some heavy Cutting won't change that

A stupid movie which tries to be an intelligent one - the worst kind. Definitely wasted time, because I didn't enjoy the wasted time*

Not my cup of tea, flashy fotographed trash

    * Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted - John Lennon

One star, because a lot of bikinis
