Default New HD TV for christams?

I've decided it's time for a new HD TV for christams, but i'm a little confused with all the choice out there! Can anyone give me any advice? I've got about a grand to spend on it!?

That is a very Nice LCD... If your going for LCD i don't think you can go far wrong with a Bravia..... But if i had £1k to spend on a new screen i would be looking at another Plasma !!!!!

Also MS, i just have to say I am a bit concerned about the Constant Links to the same Website, the occasional one to the same site is acceptable if you are also Linking to others, which as far as i am aware you have not been !!! I know you are new to the forum and we welcome your input But beware, Admin may not be quite so Lenient if he thinks for one minute that you are Spamming... you will be out -

    Thanks..... Dk

Don`t know the model no. but my nephew has just bought a 46" panny with built in freesat tuner.

Its without doubt the best pic I`ve ever seen and if you don`t go freesat you must be bonkers

Probably the PZ46TH81B - that one has built in freeview.

Mine is the 80B, no freeview, and I think the SD picture via sky is excellent, and the HD picture is fantastic.

    Cheers

Well thanks to Ian (miniholic) letting me have a sheet of 100 mm Cellotex and half a dozen plaster boards which were left over from his amazing bungalow build, for £20 (CHEERS MATE), with the money I saved I`ve just bought this little lot

Curries have got them on special as I type and trust me they are absolutley flying out, the tv is a Samsung LE40A756 which is the best picture of any panel I have ever seen.

Last week it was £1199 and this week its £799 with a free BD-P 1500 PLAYER THROWN IN.

Also I threatened the young lad in the store to sell me a Humax Freesat HD Box for £100 which they sell normally for £149 and bingo, he did.

I was reluctant to go for the new panny in the end with freesat as its £300 dearer than its relevent model without so a bit of a swizz really.

I`ve got the Humax box on the rack atm and pq on BBC HD is fantastic even at 10 foot, and I don`t mean sat away from it lads.

Anyone looking for an early chrissy prezzy, get ya skates on

    Al

    So result their lads surely

    Great result.

So you just need a wall mounting bracket now.

Can you do me a favour and measure the samsung box? Just out of interest you know.
