    Default F.E.A.R. 2 - Project Origin

Anyone got plans to get this? I played the first one through twice on the PC and it S**t me right up, big time. The whole child thing I found really hard to deal with. It had a huge "Leave it your imagination" thing going on. I remember looking up a ladder once and for a moment there was the child standing there. I damn near soiled my trousers.

I remember another occassion where I walked round a corner and someone swung a piece of would at me. Made me jump so jump the mouse left my hand and was hurtled across the room.

From a game perspective I found the AI quite good in the fact they worked together to try and gun you down.

    Worth a look?

Played the demo last week and quite liked this one..

There's most definately still the scare element to the game and there's such a creepy mood around the place(demo set in what looks like an abandoned school or something.. some of the set piece things that happen are awesome. There's for instance a bit in the demo where you head down a long hallway and everything starts to shake around you, lights start to swing then one by one they go out from the distance heading in your direction.. till your in near total darkness .. won't give the rest away..

I played the first F.E.A.R demo about 20 times, I loved it. But when I bought the game I sort of got bored and gave up half way through.

Maybe I should go back and play it through to the end?

I thought F.E.A.R was pretty scarey but Doom 3 is still king. I couldn't play that game for more than half an hour at a time.

Is there a F.E.A.R 2 demo out yet?

Yeah, I downloaded the demo today from Playstation Central or what ever it was called. It was about 700mb download. I am nervous about playing it because the original scared me half to death.

I loved the way in the original that the AI would flick over tables to create cover for themselves. THe way however that shadows would appear and disappear and .......Oh, can't even bring myself to think about it.

Off to tell a tale on the Alien thread now. Embarrasing but will make some of you laugh

OK, so FEAR 2 is certainly not dumbed down from the original. I knew school was a horror story waiting to be told and here it bloody is. I am near the end of the lights going off bit and suddenly I hear a voice in my head saying 'Turn around', so I did and, well, ummm, my heart jumped out of my chest and was sitting next to me and I find myself wanting to stop and play MotorStorm.

They certainly have not lost any of their ability to play on the mind and let it do part of the work.

God, I am such a wuss.

Well, the 13th is almost upon us and a purchase is on the cards for tomorrow morning. Here is the description "Terror, Intense close-quarters action and paranormal suspense combine in the sequel to the 2005 smash hit, F.E.A.R. Incredibly smart enemies and incredible FX bombard you as you race to save what's left of the city of Auburn from Alma's ghostly rage. Can you once again overcome your FEAR?"

Can I once again over my FEAR?????????????

Nope, I did not overcome it last time and won't this time either I am sure

You going for the PS 3 version then mate or you going for the Pc/ 360 versions? The cheapest I've seen it on the PS 3 is 27.99, whilst on the Pc it's available for £22.99. Or you just going to grab it instore?

Going for the PS3 version. XBox360 is too damn noisy (fan wise). Grab it in store tomorrow. Got a shed load of Credit notes to use up so might as well.

It actually is Deano, don't get me wrong I'm not expecting this to be particularly ground breaking for a first person shooter but it looks like it's got bag loads of scary fun in it..although it's going to get battered sales wise by Killzone 2 coming out the same time!

Well, means for the likes of us mate that it'll sell relatively poor and will drop in price quick. For the skin flints out there like me who'll wait, we'll be getting a bargain..
